Despite tight financial markets, East Coast Ethanol is banking on the untapped potential of the Southeast where little or no ethanol is produced. The company is starting an equity drive to raise money for the construction of four plants.

Average corn basis for the past week was up 2 cents and average soybean basis climbed 12 cents. Wheat basis levels were 4 cents weaker for SRW, 2 cents higher for HRW and 4 cents lower for spring wheat.
